The first block train starts in Lázaro Cárdenas

This week it was announced that the first 100% CMA CGM block train set sail from the port of Lázaro Cárdenas to the Hutchison Ports TILH terminal (Hidalgo), thanks to the coordinated work between the LCT port terminal (also from Hutchison Ports) and the firms CMA CGM Mexico and KCS.

With capacities of up to 232 full one-way containers and 250 full return containers, Hutchison Ports specified that the CMA CGM block train transportation service, Lázaro Cárdenas – TILH Hidalgo – Lázaro Cárdenas, will generate a very short intermodal transit time. and confiable.

It is estimated that the Lázaro terminal will end the year with more than 1.5 million TEUs (20-foot containers) operated, according to data from the firm.
